Meet Our Team

Compassionate and Non-judgmental

Connie Wolf, MA, LCPC-S, Founder/Owner

I strongly believe that clients should feel comfortable with the therapist they choose and hopeful about  therapy. Therapy is more likely to be most helpful this way. Clients that my practice works with include individuals from diverse: populations, economic status, race, religion, and sexual orientation.

With over 14 years of experience counseling individuals in their time of need, I’ve learned a lot about what is helpful and what can make the difference in the life of someone through counseling. If you need someone to talk with regarding the changes in your life or problems that are difficult to cope with, contact the office or send a message to start counseling.

The most central ideas in my work are 1. People are doing the best that they can…but people can change their own response and alter their environment to bring about change in their life. 2. With support, clients can develop skills necessary to address their concerns and solve their problems. 3.Change is constant and it is important to work within what is in your control.

Amber Helman, MA, LGPC

I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. I have practiced in various settings treating adolescents and adults, helping with grief, stress, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and end of life care. I practice with individuals, couples, and groups, providing faith and non-faith based care.

I believe those seeking counseling services have the insight and the strength to realize there are times in life when issues, circumstances, or situations are better tackled in collaboration. As the client, you hold the key to the change you desire and as the counselor, I have the privilege to witness to your journey, support you, help navigate life's challenges, and watch your transformation. My goal is to work with you to achieve your own goals, while finding the best ways to cope, manage, and find peace among the challenges.

You have taken the first step when you began searching for counseling. I invite you to reach out and make an appointment today. Life's circumstances can sometimes be overwhelming and isolating, but know I will bear witness to your journey and walk along side you. You will be seen as your whole person: mind, body, and soul. I look forward to working together.

Corey Ward, MS, LGPC

I graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Master of Science in Applied Psychology. I am also a member of Maryland Psychological Association’s Diversity Committee. I have experience working with children, teens, adults and the elderly. We have worked through trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues and life transitions.

My approach is to empower you through self and emotional understanding. We accomplish this by engaging in a collaborative relationship where we work from the “inside out and outside in.” During our time together I will bring compassion to meet you where you are before we take you where you need to go. Email or call to set an appointment. I look forward to meeting you.

Qi Shi, PhD, LGPC

I embrace an eclectic and collaborative approach to therapy, where working with clients and their families to develop the necessary skills and strategies to overcome life's challenges is the primary goal! In therapy, I strive to create an environment where clients not only feel heard and supported, but also they are encouraged to take an active role in the therapeutic process.

I hold a doctoral degree in Counselor Education from the George Washington University and a master’s degree in counseling from Drake University. In addition to working with adults, I have experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in school setting and in a University Counseling Center setting.  I enjoy working with clients of all ages, ethnicities, cultural background, to formulate, embrace and ultimately reach their treatment goals.

Donna Culy, Office Manager

I am the point of contact for clients and third parties for the practice. I assist in all matters related to the intake process, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks. I have the privilege of helping clients schedule appointments with counselors and answer any questions related to operation of the practice.
